1. Watercube Waterpark - Beijing, China
In the first place among the largest water parks in the world came the Beijing "Water Cube". After the amazing success of the Water Cube in Beijing at the 2008 Summer Olympics, the water center was turned into an incredible (and massive) indoor water park. The owners turned the space into a fantasy world in which there are slides, a "lazy river", a wave pool, artificial jellyfish floating on the ceiling and much more. Now it is the second most visited in Beijing (after the Great Wall of China) and the largest water park in the world.
The construction, which occupies an area of 70 thousand square meters. m, has a special design. It used durable elements similar in appearance to a crystal lattice of water bubbles. The building receives solar energy and spends it on heating water and premises. The crystals have a reflective coating, it does not allow the air to heat up to an uncomfortable value for people.
There are around 10 different attractions in this Chinese water wonderland, including downhill rides, and an ocean-like wave pool that many Chinese visitors have never seen.
And the largest of the non-working water parks in the world is the Japanese Ocean Dome. It is located on the island of Kyushu, and is located under a giant dome (300 meters long, 100 meters wide). For financial reasons (or, more simply, due to bankruptcy), the water park has been closed since 2007.
