Russia was in last (55) place healthcare performance rating. It is compiled annually by Bloomberg agency, evaluating healthcare costs as a share of GDP per capita in different countries with a population of 5 million or more, and also taking into account the life expectancy of citizens and its improvement in dynamics.
However, the stronghold of world democracy, the United States of America did not go far from Russia, being in 50th place. At the same time, the annual medical expenses for every American, which is $ 9146 per year, are second only to Norway ($ 9,715) and Switzerland ($ 9,276). In the Russian Federation, health care costs amount to $ 893 per person annually.
Healthcare is best in Asian countries (Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan). And from European - in Spain.
This is how the places in the top 55 health care performance are distributed.
The Ministry of Health compiled a rating of therapists in Russia and explained the disappointing results by the fact that Bloomberg employees used irrelevant data on mortality in the Russian Federation. According to Oleg Salagai, head of the department of public health and communications of the Ministry of Health, citizens of the country, on average, began to live longer than in 2014 (not 70.37 years, but 72.06 years). In addition, when compiling the rating, they took the figure of 7.07% of GDP, and it is not more than 5.7% of GDP.
