However, to argue that such projects are not created at all would be wrong. They are, and even very worthy, but they are very few. And, as a result, they are known only to units, which is extremely undesirable for online resources sharpened by a massive game. Therefore, in order to at least slightly correct the situation, today we decided to tell you about the best online horror games of our time.
"Damned" - "Outlast" in real time

Here, the players (a team of 4 people) immediately find themselves in a locked house (hospital / hotel, etc.) and must properly rummage through it in order to get out. The fifth player, turned into one of the well-known monsters: Lurker ‘a, Mary, Phantom’a or Fallen’a, will prevent them from escaping.
Dead Realm - Hide, Run or Die
This game, although it appeared on the vastness of the virtual network relatively recently - in early August 2015, has already managed to acquire hundreds of thousands of fans around the world. The secret to success is simple: the developers managed to turn an innocent hide and seek game into a real struggle for survival. With the plot of this cooperative horror, the creators decided not to be too smart. They took a classic gloomy mansion with a bloody history, a group of young people who just need to spend a night in it and ghosts (much without them) - the restless souls of people who were killed by the previous owner of the mansion and now crave only one thing - revenge.
The size of the mansion is huge, respectively, the number of hiding places and secrets in it can not be counted. Therefore, completing side quests from the “find-bring” series will not be so easy. Whether people can survive this night or whether new souls will be among the permanent inhabitants of the mansion, will depend only on the players themselves. For 4 years now, the game that has been on Steam’s has managed to receive dozens of awards and thousands of fans around the world. The heroes here are ordinary people who do not have super tricks, magic wands, or an endless supply of weapons. They do not have time to collect any trash or explore the area. All they need is to hold out. After all, it is not known how soon help will arrive, and indeed whether it will arrive.
The developers took into account that people are already tired of the fast, killed literally from one hit of “meat”. And so the zombies in NMRIH are classic tanks with a huge stock of health and a very slow speed. Someone may think that it is too simple, they say keep the dead at a distance, and everything will be fine. However, if you find yourself caught in a dead end by a crowd of half-decayed corpses slowly approaching you, and from your weapon you will only have the right mount, believe me, the atmosphere will glow in literally seconds.
